Mcafee epo agent not updating

De rooie poon...never alone You do not need a distributed repository. You can try deleting a few clients from the e PO directory and wait for their agent to repopulate them and see if that improves their updating for those clients.

The only time I think you might need one is of you either have many thousands of clients or a group of clients at another location that has minimal bandwidth. I had to rebuild my e PO directory because some of the clients were not talking with e PO.

After the agent is upgraded to version 3.1 it will not update the dat files for VS7.

At the end of the installation, e PO automatically updates the dats. I am using the agent update task to attempt to update the dats (VS7 has no update task itself in e PO 3.0).

We are a medium office with about 56 users, and we are adding the servers to Epo soon as well so just checking what what you guys do on your AV update policies.

I would say that only about 50% of my pushes worked correctly.

This will ensure that the latest updates are there. my

Pushing the agent out caused errors with Word Perfect (error 1706, I think - a known WP prob) in which WP tries to perform a reinstallation and asks for installation disks.

Do I have to set up a distributed repository or should I be able to update from the master repository? You should be able to update from the master repository (e PO server) just fine.

Make sure that the repository is updated by running the pull task.
